Where I started

Gulf Coast roots, mountain views now

I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, completely obsessed with sports — soccer and cross country especially, with gymnastics, track, and swim mixed in. I'm still a beach girl at heart. These days I get to call Idaho home, with the Teton mountain range close by, and I've fallen just as hard for the mountains as I ever did for the coast. I'm a lover of nature, animals, and pretty much anything outdoors. My husband and I have been married since 2021, and traveling the world together, collecting memories along the way, is one of our favorite things to do.

Where it got hard

Loving sports, struggling underneath it

I grew up loving sports, but I also struggled with anxiety and OCD tendencies. I felt anxious to perform, to make the people around me proud, and I had a hard time not tying my worth to that. On top of it, I was surrounded by a lot of unhealthy diet culture — I was genuinely misinformed about my own body as a woman, and about what "healthy" actually looked like.

Where the science came in

A degree, a clinic, and a different way of seeing the body

I went on to earn my Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology, with an emphasis in movement, sport performance, and rehabilitation sciences. Through several physical therapy internships, I fell in love with how genuinely miraculous our bodies are. I learned that health is life, and that your body is typically fully capable of taking care of itself — that combination gave me a holistic approach built on a foundation of real science.

In clinic, I saw firsthand how injury doesn't just hurt the body — it can strip away someone's life, love, and purpose. That's a big part of why movement quality, biomechanics, and injury prevention are non-negotiables in how I program.

Fit isn't always the same thing as healthy

In school, I was surrounded by people who were fit and considered "healthy." But I started noticing that a lot of them weren't necessarily healthy in the other areas of their life. That's around when I became a wellness coach, and I learned just how much every pillar of wellness influences the others — and that focusing on all of them together is what actually creates long-term happiness and health. There's more to health than a fit body. We love fit, strong bodies here — but we also care about the mind, the lifestyle, and the relationship with food and relationships that actually support it.

Sustainable results come from a plan that fits you and your life — not the other way around.

That's the whole picture I build for every client. That's the difference. And it's usually the missing puzzle piece.
